A LOT OF FUN
It has been discovered that you can’t hide Easter Eggs from Gateway Wheelers cyclists, as they will hunt them out, whatever it takes!
Gateway Wheelers held a Bike Repair and Easter Egg Hunt day at their site in Chester-Le-Street, Riverside Sports Pavilion on Sunday the 9th April.
The day covered a range of activities and despite the artic weather conditions there was an excellent turnout of forty riders and volunteers.
The event kicked off at 1pm with members getting their hands dirty cleaning bikes. These squeaky clean cycles were then past to more technical volunteer bike engineers to conquer any repairs.
With a wide range of bikes to suit various disabilities Gateway Wheelers was able to offer everyone a ride! So whilst the bike engineers got down to the important knit and gritty repairing, members raced around on the bikes following clues leading them to the Easter Eggs.
It was great to see so many new faces and a big congratulations to everyone who took part in the Easter Egg Hunt and a big thanks to all the volunteers who helped out, it wouldn't have happened without you.
