Rides in 2000 included:
| Tan Hill Toddle | |
| Starting from Reeth in the Yorkshire Dales we cycled through Arkengarthdale to arrive at Tan Hill very thirsty. Cycling usually involves a pub or a cafe and this one is the highest in England. A 27 mile round trip, hard work but very rewarding, this trip was organised by our postmen friends from Leeds |
|
| Malton to Scarborough | |
| Another event organised by our postmen friends from Leeds. This ride was from Malton to Scarborough and once again, there was a cafe and a pub! | ![]() |
| St Bede Challenge | |
| St. Bede walked it but we cycled it, in reverse. Durham to Holy Island by the hilliest route we could find which included an overnight stay at Bellingham youth hostel. This two day event covered 111 miles on the quieter lanes of Northumberland and Durham before finishing at the Island Cafe where we always receive a special welcome and the best cup of espresso in the north of England. Someone pretended to get a puncture so that the group could have a rest! Beautiful countryside and traffic free roads in Northumberland. |

| Training | |
| You are probably wondering how we train for all of this cycling. Well the club has some Tacx trainers and we use these indoors at the Tees Valley site under the eagle eye of ........... the eagle! | ![]() |
