Gateshead Millenium Bridge - 'The Eye'

B.O.L.D Cycling Time Trial,
Spalding, 25th April 2004

This year we entered a record number of seven teams into the event. Four into the 10.5 mile and three into the 26 mile event.

The hard work and training from the teams paid great dividends with spectacular results. Our teams finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 10.5 mile race. With Paul and Doug setting a new record time of 52mins 47 seconds. It was also very pleasing that a special achievement award was made to Kevin Patterson, in recognition of his superb attitude.

We also had great results in the 26.5 mile race. With Aiden and Steve finishing in a fantastic second place. Russell and David also had a great ride finishing in a very creditable 11th place out of a field of 52 teams.

A dedicated team of nine brave individuals braved, the weather and courageously left their loved ones to undertake this endurance ride.

The team left Workington at high noon on the 1st and arrived at Roker for 4pm on the 3rd.
