Job title: Rider Assistant
Responsible to: Club Leader

Aim: To provide a safe, friendly cycling club, enabling people with disabilities to freely participate in all club activities.

Commitment: Rides take place approximately every other week, each session lasts approximately 2/3hours depending on the site.

Duties:

To prepare bikes before and after rides.
• To assist members on and off the bikes.
• To cycle with members and/or assist in activities associated with cycling.
• Provide support for members who need assistance.
• With the support of the club leader supervise members while they ride.
• Provide an enjoyable experience for the members
• Have FUN

Job title: Event Assistant
Responsible to: Club Leader

Job title: Bike Engineer
Responsible to: Senior Bike Engineer

Commitment: Organised ‘Bike Repair Days’ throughout the year plus any urgent repairs.

Aim: To repair any defaults and carry out routine checks.

Duties:

• To assess the bikes on a six month basis.
• Where possible repair any faults.
• Contribute to the development of the bikes, suggesting alternative engineering methods and generate new solutions to common defaults.
• Contribute ideas and development plans to the initiation of an ongoing bike repair scheme.
• Have FUN

Job title: Photographer
Responsible to: Development Officer

Commitment: Any additional event, on site and off site.

Aim: To take professional photographs on a digital camera that will be published in local newspapers, magazines, newsletters and on the website. The photographs may also be used in the future to publicise the club.

Duties:

• To take photographs of members riding, members taking part in other activities, volunteers mending the bikes, etc
• Download, save and if necessary edit the image.s
• Send the photo’s by email to Gateway Wheelers office.
• Have FUN
